This month, the award-winning contemporary hotel Prince Waikiki is pleased to announce the hiring of its new Chef de Cuisine, Aaron Furuto, at the property’s signature dining experience, 100 Sails Restaurant & Bar.

With over 15 years of experience, Chef Furuto has spent the last decade-plus at Pacific Beach Hotel, Kincaids, and most recently Halekulani’s Orchids. Rising through the kitchen ranks from Cook to Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine, Furuto brings a wealth of knowledge and singular approach to fresh Island cuisine.

Beginning this month, Chef Furuto is hitting the ground running to introduce new menu highlights and seasonal offerings at 100 Sails Restaurant & Bar, which is renowned for its elevated approach to Pacific Rim dining, featuring an array of fresh seafood options alongside prime cuts, locally grown produce, bespoke cocktails, a robust wine menu, and playful pastry program. Current highlights include:

  • Kauai Shrimp Scampi with Ali’i mushroom, Ho farm cherry tomatoes, asparagus, capers, and linguine
  • Grilled Ahi with a crab cake, lobster tail, mashed potatoes, broccolini, and red wine sauce
  • Pina Colada Marble Cheesecake with a coconut macaron crust, lime zest, mange sauce, and berries
  • For breakfast, Taro Pancakes and Island Style Fried Rice
