Oahu has been upgraded from a Tropical Storm Watch to a Tropical Storm Warning.
Current alerts affecting Oahu:
• 🟠 Tropical Storm Warning
o Tropical storm conditions (39 to 73 mph winds) are expected within 12 hours.
• 🌧️ Flood Watch
o Remains in effect statewide due to the threat of heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and mudslides.
• 🌊 High Surf Warning/Advisories
o Large and dangerous surf is impacting portions of the state due to Lowell.
For Honolulu and Waikiki, expect:
• Increasing winds this afternoon and tonight.
• Periods of heavy rain with localized flooding.
• Possible tropical storm-force wind gusts, especially in exposed areas and higher elevations.
• Dangerous ocean conditions, strong currents, and large surf.
